Favourite Rituals

Have... candles at the quarters..east/yellow, west/blue, north/red, south/green
Have.....an altar with athame, chalice, wand & pentacle in east/air, west/water, north/fire, south/earth respectively (or according to your own elemental placements)
Have your Spirit candle or lamp on altar
Have your Lord & Lady symbols, images or candles on altar
Have....water & salt, cakes & juice/wine ready on altar
Have...your broom or 'sweeper'
Have....any items required for magick, healing, spells or celebrations which you are planning to do.

*Sweep your psychic area with your broom and intention to clear the energies.
* Light the Spirit candle acknowledging the Great Mystery of Spirit and existence.
*say 'ONE IS ONE AND ALL ALONE AND EVERMORE SHALL BE SO' I HONOUR SPIRIT IN ALL.

Cast the Circle
*take your athame (or index finger) and point it at the spot you wish to begin inscribing your circle. Visualise electric blue flame or brilliant white light pouring forth from it and creating a circle and sphere of light around you as you continue...
*say as you circle from the East quarter counter clockwise,
'I CAST YOU CIRCLE ONCE (TWICE..THRICE) AROUND
A PLACE BETWEEN WORLDS
A TIME BEYOND TIME
A PLACE OF SAFETY, PEACE AND POWER
PROTECTED AND CHARGED AT THIS HOUR
BY GODDESS AND GOD
I CONJURE YOU NOW!
* repeat 3 times from the East, saying 'twice' & 'thrice' for each repetition.

Salt & Water Cleansing
*Pick up your small container of salt
*say SALT PRECIOUS SALT, BE CLEANSED AND PURE,
BE NOW CHARGED WITH PURIFYING POWER!
*Pick up your small container of water
*say WATER PRECIOUS WATER, BE CLEANSED AND PURE,
BE NOW CHARGED WITH PURIFYING POWER!
*add 3 pinches of salt to the water and stir saying 3 times with intention
'SALT TO WATER POWER INCREASE
STIR IT UP AND POWER GROWS!'
*then say with intention
POWER TO CLEANSE AND PURIFY
POWER TO BLESS NOW AMPLIFIED!
*you have made your own holy water.
Cleanse and Consecrate the Circle and all in it....
*sprinkle the circle by flicking the water as you walk around counterclockwise..
*saying THIS PLACE IS CLEANSED, CONSECRATED AND BLESSED, IN THE NAME OF THE GOD AND THE GODDESS.
*sprinkle the water on items and people
*saying BE YOU CLEANSED, CONSECRATED AND BLESSED,
IN THE NAME OF THE GOD AND THE GODDESS.
(that takes care of water and earth...now for air and fire)
*take your incense stick or charcoal block & incense and fire it up or light it
*saying INCENSE AND FIRE BE CLEANSED AND PURE,
BE NOW CHARGED WITH BLESSING POWER!
*carry your incense around the circle counter clockwise
saying THIS PLACE IS BLESSED AND ENERGISED
IN THE NAME OF THE GODDESS AND THE GOD
*smudge all the people and items
*saying BE YOU BLESSED AND ENERGISED
IN THE NAME OF THE GODDESS AND THE GOD
Call the Quarters
*Beginning in the East, then each quarter counter clockwise, repeat the following call with the appropriate directions, elements and archangels
*HAIL GUARDIANS OF THE WATCHTOWERS OF THE (EAST/NORTH/WEST/SOUTH)
WELCOME POWERS OF (AIR/FIRE/WATER/EARTH)
AND ARCHANGEL (RAPHAEL/MICHAEL/GABRIEL/URIEL)

(make the sign of the invoking pentagram and say)
HAIL AND WELCOME
Call the God and Goddess
*stand/sit before your altar in the centre of the circle, facing east and say
DIVINE LORD AND LADY, GREAT GODDESS AND GOD
WE/I INVITE YOUR LOVING PRESENCE AND BLESSINGS
WE/I HONOUR YOU EVERYWHERE AND ALWAYS
*light the Goddess candle and say

*light the God candle and say

Cakes and Wine/Juice
Have your sacred meal of small cakes/biscuits and wine or juice ready to bless and consecrate

BLESS THIS SACRED MEAL WE SHARE WITH YOU IN GRATITUDE AND JOY
Hold the athame point down in the chalice/cup/jug of wine or juice and say
AS MALE IS TO FEMALE
AS YANG IS TO YIN
BY THE POWER OF THIS UNION
DO ALL THINGS BEGIN
BE YOU CHARGED WITH THE MYSTERY
Place the tip of the athame on the cakes and say
GOD IN THE SEED
THAT GROWS IN THE GRAIN
THAT DIES TO GIVE LIFE
AND IS BORN AGAIN
BE YOU CHARGED WITH THE MYSTERY

LET THIS SACRED MEAL BE NOW CONSECRATED AND TRANSFORMED, AND THROUGH IT LET US COMMUNE WITH THE MYSTERIES
Pick up the chalice and say
THIS DRINK BE POWERFULLY CHARGED TO NOURISH AND BALANCE OUR HEARTS, MINDS AND SOULS
WITH THANKS WE OFFER THE FIRST PORTION TO THE LORD AND THE LADY
Pour a little onto the ground, or into a container to be later emptied outside.
Pick up the cakes and say
THIS FOOD BE POWERFULLY CHARGED TO NOURISH AND BALANCE OUR HEARTS, MINDS AND SOULS
WITH THANKS WE OFFER THE FIRST PORTION TO THE LORD AND THE LADY
Crumble a bit of cake onto the ground...
Pick up the chalice and say
GREAT GODDESS WE DRINK YOU AND ARE RECONNECTED WITH LOVE AND POWER
pass it counter clockwise to the next person (or say the following in the 1st person if you are solitary)
MAY YOU NEVER THIRST
I HONOUR THE GODDESS WITHIN YOU
MAY YOU ALWAYS BE FULFILLED
regardless of gender say both the goddess and god lines...we all have both within us
Pick up the cakes and say
GREAT GOD WE EAT YOU AND ARE RECONNECTED WITH LOVE AND POWER
pass it on...saying
MAY YOU NEVER HUNGER
I HONOUR THE GOD WITHIN YOU
MAY YOU ALWAYS BE SUCCESSFUL
When all finished say
AS WE ARE ABUNDANTLY BLESSED, OUR THANKSGIVING IS TO PASS IT ON AND BLESS OTHERS

HEAR THE MYSTERY

Now is the time to do magick, spells or celebrations of your choice. You need to have all your supplies and preparations ready in the circle so that you do not disturb the circle energy by leaving it.

When you are finished your activities it is time to close down the circle. Start by thanking the Lord and the Lady saying

snuff out the God and Goddess candles
Release the quarters begining in the East and moving to each quarter counter clockwise saying
HAIL GUARDIANS OF THE WATCHTOWERS OF (EAST/NORTH/WEST/SOUTH)
POWERS OF (AIR/FIRE/WATER/EARTH)
ARCHANGEL (RAPHAEL/MICHAEL/GABRIEL/URIEL)
THANKYOU FOR ATTENDING, AIDING AND WITNESSING OUR RITES
MAY THERE ALWAYS BE PEACE BETWEEN US
make the sign of the banishing pentagram and say
HAIL AND FAREWELL
At each quarter, snuff the candle after the farewell
Release the Circle
Stand with your athame or finger pointing to the circle in the east.
Move in a counter clockwise direction drawing in the circle into the athame/finger saying
I RELEASE YOU CIRCLE ONCE (TWICE/THRICE) AROUND
TO EARTHLY SPACE AND EARTHLY TIME
ALL IS RETURNED AND ALL IS WELL!
IN THE NAME OF THE LORD AND THE LADY
repeat 3 times..(once, twice, thrice)
say
THE CIRCLE IS OPEN BUT UNBROKEN AND ALL IS WELL
snuff out the Spirit candle saying
ONE IS ONE AND ALL ALONE AND EVERMORE SHALL BE SO
WE ARE ALL ONE
BLESSED BE
touch the ground and allow any excess energy to flow into the earth (it will, even if you are indoors).
Then cheer, clap, hug and feast!
